#TBT - Not the best pic of him lol but I love this pic of me bc it shows me as I truly was towards the end of my pregnancy. (8.5 months, puffy face/baby belly poking out the side, no make up ,no hair-do) I honestly just took a shower and left my house [The backstory of this picture] My sister @elisa_bella planned a super glamorous shower for us (even my lovely sister @bettyboopmf came all the way from NY to take part in the festivities) and it was going to be an absolutely fabulous event. I’m hard to satisfy and even more difficult to impress because I am not a “cartoon character baby shower” person (im a weirdo) so @elisabella gave me and Tiffany&Co. themed shower at a beautiful hall until…Hurricane Issac⚡☔☁ came and the venue was forced to cancel😰😢 🙀😩we all cried. But as a surprise to me a few days later on this night they all really surprised me (as you can tell by my super casual house dress and lack of hair, jewelry, makeup) and gave me such a nice surprise party at my mom’s home with family to make up for the mishap. I even cried tears of joy🙊(I don’t cry)…As much as I would have loved to be extravagant🌟 (my style) and basque in the glory that was my original shower💎, it was time for me to learn an important lesson before our son was born. Which was that extravagance is wonderful; but its momentary.Sometimes simplicity and warmth are worth so much more and leave a lasting impression. And that night I know I felt we were loved and in good company. It’s an excellent memory (minus the way I looked lol) and I am super grateful for it. 😄
